In 2013 he won the Venice Film Festivals award Coppa Volpi for the Best
Actor.
Born in Istanbul in 1960.
He graduated from the
Department of Theatre Studies at the University of Athens and teaches the
course "Acting_Improvisation".Also graduated the Drama
School " E. Chatzikou . " Member of the International
Theatre Institute and the Association of Greek actors.
Since
2000 collaborates with the National Theatre and participated in
international tours made in 2000-2003 (Europe , USA, Latin America ,
Australia , Japan, China etc.)
He has collaborated with many Greek
directors : Minotis , Kokkos, Papavassiliou , Hatzopoulos Chatzakis ,
Paterakis , Arvanitaki Theodorou, Antipas , Livathinos , Lymperopoulou ,
Moschopoulos, Marmarinos, Chouvardas , Kondouri , Tsianos , Nikolaidis,
Kakleas , Hadjipapas, Toufexis etc. .
Assumed important
roles in works by Aeschylus , Sophocles, Euripides , Aristophanes ,
Shakespeare , Ben Jonson , Moliere , Marivaux , Goldoni , Pushkin,Yeats ,
Beckett , Dario Fo , Gorky , Brecht , Weiss , Horvart , Ostrofski ,
Williams , Sheppard , Dimitriadis , Matesi , Kapetanaki etc.
Participated in television productions and 12 films in the cinema. In 2009 he was honored with the Best Actor Award at the 32nd Festival of
Drama for the film E. Astrinaki One night together.
He
translated from Greek to Turkish projects : Ichneftes Sophocles for the
show directed by D. Avdeliodi Festival Izmir in 2010, Fiakas of
D. Misitzi . By Turkish in Greek trilogy The Midas him
Güngör Dilmen.
His writings have been published in magazines
